Vulkan conversion

This was a project I enjoyed very much.  I took a variety of bitz and combined them together with a bit of sculpting and made a Vulkan conversion.  The flamer was made from a few IG flamers.

Putting some saurus heads on the backpack was fun!  I got the idea from the Space wolves backpack with the wolf heads.

  1. Nice! The saurus heads is a good idea, looks like a pretty easy fit.

I admire your patience sculpting all those little scale bits! The clawed feet are a nice touch too.

I hate to criticize such a nicely done model, but why green for the tassel on the end of the spear? It seems to blend in too much with the cloak, maybe yellow, red, or even black instead?

Of course, keep in mind that the work here is way beyond my own abilities!

  2. Thanks for checking out the blog, and taking the extra time to comment. Always appreciated! I am trying to think back on why it was green. I think I did not want both ends of the weapon to be bright orange. Might have looked like Darth Maul's light sabre :-) I probably wanted wanted a more subtle touch on that piece.

  3. Good point with keeping both ends distinct. The green is only really an "issue" when viewed from that one angle, and would rarely be seen from that angle anyways.
